A favorite Detroit garage rock band famous around the country for outlandish stage shows and their straight ahead style rawk, the Dollrods are a cocktail mix of Motown's blues history blended with early Stooges style. Danny Dollrod was a member of the critically acclaimed trio the Gories in the early 90's and formed the Dollrods with singer/guitarist Margaret Dollrod and Thumper after that band ended.Any fan of fuzzed out, spare, unsophisticated sex-fueled rock and roll will enjoy the title track 'Get It On', along with 'Cannonball' and 'the Thump'. There is a stand out version of the American standard 'Big Rock Candy Mountain' that has to be heard to be believed. The CD is not for the faint of heart: loud, raucous, and dirty.In summer 2008, Danny formed a new band called the Readies.
